Rick Bell is the editorial director for Workforce magazine. Since 2010, Bell has led the Workforce editorial team’s coverage of topics relevant to the human resources profession. With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Bell has worked for numerous award-winning publications, including the San Diego Business Journal.
Prior to his job at the San Diego Business Journal, Bell was zone section editor for the North County Times, in Escondido, California. He also worked as news editor of The Navy Compass, and as an assistant city editor at the Oceanside (California) Blade Citizen. Bell has won numerous awards for writing and editing from the San Diego Press Club, Society of Professional Journalists San Diego and the California Newspaper Publishers.
